Nsite Launches On Demand Channel Management and Quote Management Applications
Applications are easily customizable, so software adapts to how business works instead of business adapting to how software works

Pleasanton, CA — November 8, 2005 — Nsite, a leading Software-as-a-Service company, today announced the availability of Version 5.0 which includes Nsite Channel Management and Nsite Quote Management, a pair of sales-centric applications for small and midsized businesses. The on demand applications can be customized by business users in a few minutes to adapt to customers unique approaches to channel and quote management. The applications have a new Web Services Builder feature that leverages Asynchronous JavaScript Technology and XML (AJAX) and includes instant connections to Salesforce.com and Siebel CRM OnDemand, with absolutely no coding required to integrate and activate the combined applications.

AJAX for Enterprise Applications

Nsite has used AJAX in new and innovative ways in the customization features of its service as well. AJAX allows users of the Nsite service to have a rich user experience within a completely Web-based environment. The use of AJAX also provides customers with better security than traditional customization frameworks that require server-side programming. In addition, the use of AJAX protects the core infrastructure from improper custom code, because the custom code runs on the client and not the server.

CRM Extension Applications

The maturation of customer-relationship-management systems is fueling a market for point solutions that enhance the value and extend the life of these applications. Channel management and quote management applications are examples of CRM extension applications that play a critical role in strengthening partner relationships and helping companies to close new business more quickly. Industry research suggests the market for channel and quote management solutions, largely untapped to-date, will grow substantially into the next decade

"Hats off to their innovation and creativity."

Software That Works the Way Business Works

Nsite is introducing a powerful new way to easily customize applications to exactly match the unique requirements of individual companies. For far too long business has had to work around the constraints of enterprise software. With Nsite Channel Management and Quote Management applications, customers can easily make their own changes and enhancements without the help of IT or high-priced vendors. To make a change to the applications, users with the right security privileges can simply click an edit button and use the drag-and-drop, drag-and-move, table-and-grid metaphors to easily change labels, add functionality and move objects around the application.

Nsite provides a fully reference-able client-side object model of the application that allows advanced users to further customize the behavior of their applications via custom Javascript. Nsite also exposes secure, AJAX-enabled API's that allow users to retrieve server-side data which can also be used to alter the behavior of the application. The Nsite applications support versioning so data can be persisted across the application versions if users do make changes to the applications.

"We use Nsite for configuring and pricing of quotes," said Jim Brear, Vice President of Sales, Tasman Networks. "Getting the right price on the right quote is critical and Nsite streamlines this previously manual process for us. The powerful Nsite workflow approval engine lets us track deal sheets all the way through fulfillment."

"I appreciate the enhancements that have been made by Nsite to our current application. These changes provide our team the tools to quickly and transparently make changes and enhancements to forms and routings without the time and cost associated with hiring outside professional services," said Pat Stafford, Director of Sales Operations, Asyst Technologies. "I don't know of any other application in this space that provides ability to rapidly and efficiently create online forms."

"We have found that most companies prefer to have a way to fine-tune their applications quickly and easily and not have to pay additional fees for customization to deliver specific business results," said Rosie Hausler, vice president, Marketing, Nsite. "The Nsite Channel Management and Quote Management applications finally give SMBs a way to have enterprise solutions without the enterprise price tag."
